About

Over the span of 9 years, I have worked for both agencies and corporations. This duality has taught me the value of long-term brand development and the importance of meeting short-term deadlines. My experience includes work in manufacturing, technology, fashion, and non-profits. Within the range of startups to Fortune 500’s, I have been both a designer and a design team manager. As a designer my goal is to create amazing experiences and deliver high-quality, timely content. As a manager, my goal is to create an inspired team and act as their advocate.

Most recently, I have been working as the Creative Services Manager at Nik Software. In this role I was responsible for managing design projects from concept to completion. I acted as a mentor to my team, providing accountability for the quality of our work output and the consistent adherence to brand standards. Principally I aided the marketing and direct sales teams in the development of product pages with higher sales conversion rates as well as the launch of the company’s first iPad app, Snapseed, which was recently named Apple’s App of the Week. Additionally, I worked in conjunction with all department heads to fulfill their day-to-day needs, as well as understand their strategic projects and translate them into creative solutions.

In the modern digital media space, our stories are told through designs, images, motion, film, words and interactive elements. The tools we use to communicate our messages are many and ever changing. My innate curiosity about technology, design, and the web helps me keep current on trends, gadgets, and innovative snippets of code. Ultimately, being relevant and current are critical in digital media, and I love staying on the cutting edge of design and technique because there is nothing more satisfying than creating captivating work that inspires one to action.
